Cap sur le sud aujourd’hui avec une Love session qui respire bon le soleil et l’iode des bords de l’Atlantique ! Alex et Rea sont anglais, mais c’est en visitant la maison de leurs parents au Portugal qu’ils sont tombés amoureux de ce pays… De ce coup de coeur, ils ont choisi d’en faire le lieu de leur union et c’est dans cette maison de famille qu’ils se diront Oui demain… Accompagnés par Matt + Lena Photography, ils nous emmènent pour une balade romantique dans Ferragudo, adorable petit village de pêcheurs de l’Algarve. Amour et bonne humeur au programme !

Heading south today with a love session that breathes good the sun and iodine of the Atlantic coast ! Alex and Rea are English, but fell in love with Portugal when they visited the new house of their parents … As a favorite, they chose to make it the place of union and to say their « I do » in this family tomorrow … Accompanied by Matt + Lena Photography, they take us for a romantic walk in Ferragudo, a the small fishing village in Algarve. Love and laugh !

“I was out celebrating my 21^st Birthday with my best friends, by chance, in the same bar, Alex was celebrating his last night in the city as he had finished University. He approached me and we chatted for a while, 6 years on, I am about to marry him

Nous nous sommes connu alors que je fêtais mes 21 ans avec ma meilleure amie. Par chance, Alex fêtait sa dernière soirée en ville après avoir fini ses études. Il m’a abordée et nous avons discuté pendant un moment. 6 ans plus tard, je m’apprête à me marier avec lui !

We always wanted to get married abroad. We looked at Italy and Croatia initially and really loved both.  Alex’s parents then invited us to Portugal to see the villa they had been building for 3 years as it was finally finished. The moment we stepped out into the back garden, we looked at each other and we both said; we want to get married here!  We were in love with the views, the setting, the weather and as we got to know Portugal we fell in love with the food and the lifestyle.  It reminded me of my home, Bosnia/Croatia and that meant a lot too.

Nous avons toujours voulu nous marier à l’étranger. Nous avons tout d’abord cherché en Italie et en Croatie et nous aimions vraiment les deux. Les parents d’Alex nous ont invité à visiter la villa qu’ils avaient construite depuis 3 ans et qui était maintenant finie. Au moment où nous avons mis le pied dans le jardin, nous nous sommes regardés tous les deux et avons dit : on veut se marier ici ! Nous sommes tombés amoureux de la vue, de l’endroit, du climat et au fur et à mesure que nous découvrions le Portugal, on tombait amoureux de la nourriture et sy style de vie. Cela me rappelait ma maison, la Bosnie/Croatie et cela signifiait tellement.

Le mot des photographes…

We are Matt and Lena, a photography duo and husband and wife since last September We love documenting amazing moments people share.  We moved to the Algarve about a year ago after 6 years of traveling and living a nomadic lifestyle.  We fell in love with Portugal and decided that this was the place where we wanted to stay for a while.  We love the sunshine, the beautiful coast line, the local wines and food, and the friendly people. We love exploring all the parts of Portugal and discovering small fishing villages along the coast.  Ferragudo is one such place that is just magic.  We were so happy to be able to share this place with Rea and Alex.  They are from London but are having their destination wedding in the Agarve.  We took them to Ferragudo for their engagements session because we fell in love with its quirky streets that wrap around a hill and the festive decor that makes the little village so charming.  When we were there in April they had decorated the streets with bunting made from the silver lining of empty wine boxes form the local restaurants.  The beach was scattered with colourful fishing boats, it was just all so picturesque We had such a great time.
